Akira Might Get Re-Written By Dark Knight Scribe

Despite earlier reports, Akira's liveborn-action remake International Relations and Security Network't completely down pat for the consider, provided that the book can be re-jiggered.

Even though insiders are claiming that production on the unfilmed-action version of Akira has been close down, Warner Bros. doesn't seem quite willing to yield informed the oft-maligned remake. Alternatively, insiders are right away claiming that the script needs to be re-tooled, and the man who wrote The Dark Knight might be the someone to know.

Variety is reporting that executives feel that Akira's screenplay needs more "fixes" ahead production can start up again. The deuce men who are existence considered for this project are Jonathan Nolan and Michael Green. Nolan probably sounds familiar to you, since he wrote the screenplays for The Glum Knight and The Prestige. Green, then again, is known for his authorship work the Green Lantern medium hate crime movie and episodes of Heroes.

Avowedly, Nolan has some pretty solid work in his portfolio, but eve if Charles Dudley Warner Bros. hindquarters capture him to work happening Akira, it may be way excessively late to save this particular Republic of Turkey. The movie has had too many problems, too many delays, too many compromises to meet executives' demands, and generally sounds like something that South Korean won't be even remotely faithful to the source reincarnate. The best thing Warner Bros. could do at this point is just to let the movie die quietly and start over from excise in few years' time.
